Blackmagic URSA Cine 12K LF is a revolution in digital film with a new large format RGBW 36×24mm sensor with larger photo-sites for 16 stops of dynamic range. The URSA Cine 12K LF Body model is ideal when you have existing cinema accessories that you want to use to create your own camera rig. 

The camera itself is a fully featured model without any limitations in quality or performance, but it excludes accessories such as top handle, baseplate, shoulder mount, power supply, battery plate, some lens mounts, lenses and the high capacity 8TB media module. Customers can purchase these items separately as they need them to complete the total camera rig in the exact configuration they prefer.

This camera does come with an interchangeable EF lens mount. For media, this version does come with a new CFexpress media module that has dual CFexpress card slots while the 8TB media module is not included like the in this version of the Blackmagic URSA Cine 12K LF Camera. However the Blackmagic URSA Cine 12K LF Body model also includes a dedicated assist station with a second 5″ HDR LCD touchscreen, built in ND filters, high speed 10G Ethernet and WiFi for fast media upload and syncing to Blackmagic Cloud.

Different projects require different lenses which is why URSA Cine features an interchangeable lens mount. Customers can quickly switch between PL, LPL, EF and Hasselblad mounts. Plus, each mount has contact pins to read lens metadata for monitoring and for use in post production.

URSA Cine lets crews work faster on set with multiple monitoring options. The fold out monitor has a large 5″ HDR touchscreen on one side and an external color status LCD on the other. On the right side of the camera, there’s a dedicated assist station with a second 5″ HDR touchscreen which allows crew to work around the camera without needing external monitors. There’s even a dedicated focus puller’s mode to help customers get perfect focus.

Now customers can live stream from film sets. URSA Cine features a built hardware streaming engine that supports RTMP and SRT streaming to major platforms or directly to clients. Simply connect to the internet via Ethernet, high speed wifi or even connect a 4G or 5G phone for mobile data.
