The R12 is for musicians who want to record, edit and mix their songs and ideas on the go without a computer. With the R12's LCD touchscreen, you can easily cut, copy, loop and edit your tracks.

Outstanding sound
The R12 features high-quality preamps, two XLR/TRS inputs and 8 audio tracks. This makes the R12 perfect for recording everything from demos to finished productions.

Powerful effects
The R12 features a send effects channel with reverb, chorus and delay, plus a dedicated effects return fader. For advanced sounds, you can use presets and effects from Zoom's Guitar Lab. The R12 also has pan and a 3-channel EQ for each track, as well as a compressor for inputs 1 and 2.

Backing Tracks
Use Sequence Play to create a playlist of your projects. These can then be used as backing tracks.

Drum Machine
With 150 preloaded drum loops in a variety of patterns and genres, the R12 offers a versatile rhythm section for any project.

Import audio files
Add additional audio samples by importing files into your R12 via micro-SD card or USB stick.

Transportable
The R12 runs for up to 5 hours on four AA batteries, so you can take your production anywhere. Additionally, you can power the R12 with the AD-17 adapter or a powerbank. The R12 has a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack and two 6.3mm monitor outputs.

iOS - App
The R12 can be controlled from your iOS device using the optional R12 Control App. This app will be available from the end of 2022.

DAW - Controller
Use the R12 as a stereo audio interface with your favourite DAW or streaming platform via USB-C. Use the faders and knobs as transport controls to control your software.

HI-Z + Phantom Power
Input 1 of the R12 is equipped with a Hi-Z switch, so you can connect your guitar directly to the recorder. Both inputs of the R12 provide 48 V phantom power for condenser microphones.

Click Track
Activate the fully customisable Click Track with the touch of a button. Use the Click Balance section to mix the metronome with your playback audio and route it to your headphones and/or main outputs.

FM Synth onboard
The R12 has 18 built-in FM synthesiser sounds that can be played by connecting a MIDI keyboard via USB-C or programmed via the touchscreen.
